Spinal CSF Leak Canada has been established and runs 100% by volunteers (some with personal experience). Our primary focus is to advance our understanding of SIH (spontaneous intracranial hypotension), support crucial research efforts, and advocate for individuals impacted by this condition by raising awareness with the medical community. 

While knowledge about spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH)/spinal CSF leak is gaining recognition, it remains unfamiliar to a majority of physicians. As a result, there is a clear and urgent need to increase awareness, improve education, and conduct research to tackle the significant problem of under-diagnosis and misdiagnosis.
