Highlights From 2025

Canada-Wide SIH Case Rounds for Physicians

Organized quarterly since 2022, the Canada-Wide SIH Case Rounds for Physicians continued in 2025 with sessions held on January 23 and May 1. These physician-only rounds are chaired by Dr. Farnaz Amoozegar, neurologist and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Calgary. These rounds (approximately 90 min duration with two cases presented at each rounds) feature spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH) case presentations covering clinical history, imaging, procedures/treatments, and discussion among physicians in neurology, anesthesiology, neuroradiology, and neurosurgery. This is an excellent venue to discuss complex SIH cases, as many knowledgeable experts in SIH from Spinal CSF Leak Canada's Medical Advisory Board, representing both Canada and the USA, attend and provide their invaluable insights.

Sharing Knowledge & Patient Voices All Year Long

Throughout 2025, we continued to expand our educational reach, by sharing:

  • scientific papers

  • expert videos

  • patient stories and testimonials

  • bilingual content as much as possible (English & French)

These resources were shared weekly across our social media platforms, in English and French whenever possible, helping us reach patients, caregivers, and clinicians nationwide.

Everything we accomplished this year was made possible because of you.

Your donations, participation, encouragement, and willingness to share your stories continue to fuel real change in Canada, bringing us closer to earlier diagnosis, more equitable access to treatment, and improved quality of life for all those affected by spinal CSF leak.

💜Thank you for standing with us in support of spinal CSF leak patients. We look forward to continuing this important work together in the year ahead.

Warmest wishes for a peaceful holiday season and a healthy new year,
From all of us at Spinal CSF Leak Canada
